Public Health Care Town Hall Inquiry

Subject: Friends of Medicare Health Care Townhall Edmonton Feb 22 at 2 pm

Hello Judy,

Thanks for your send. Things are heating up in our efforts to savethecoliseum.ca.
You are going to want to explore the articles on the site. We are continually updating as the many needs in healthcare are continuing to rise.

We are sending out two new press releases that you can find on the website.
Offering 240 community hospital beds with 300 recliners for cool room admissions, featuring neonatal infant care, birthing chairs, two operating theatres, and raising money for two 3D scanners for early detection and diagnosis, saving lives and millions in terminal care.

The latest is the demand for medication slow-release pumps already approved for use in Calgary, yet facing delays in Edmonton in the treatment of Parkinson’s.

Our comprehensive plan for the reuse of the Edmonton Coliseum will save billions in new construction costs just in healthcare and education alone.

Thus far, we have determined the community hospital will be on the third floor above the main floor tourism and retail anchor stores, featuring a dealership and twenty-four-hour fast food restaurants.

Digital passes for security access and events held, raising money for the many worthwhile causes, will be available both on-site and when booking a trip to the Edmonton Coliseum Event Centre online.

Best regards,

No matter where you live, or who you are, you and your family deserve timely access to quality public health care — when and where you need it.

That’s why Friends of Medicare and well-known public health care advocate Dr. Paul Parks are touring the province to hear from Albertans about what we are experiencing in our health care system, and to discuss what changes could make our lives and our health better.

Join us for an urgent conversation on February 22 in Edmonton!

An opportunity for patients, families, front-line workers, and community members to come together to discuss current issues and solutions.

Your voice. Your care. Your community.
Real talk on public health care for every Alberta family.

Dr. Paul Parks is an Emergency Physician in Medicine Hat and the former President of the Alberta Medical Association.

Friends of Medicare is a non-partisan, non-profit advocacy organization fighting to Protect + Rebuild public health care in Alberta.

This event is free and open to the public — everyone welcome! RSVP to save your spot. Light refreshments will be provided.

We have chosen venues for this town hall tour that are physically accessible and stair-free to enter. If you have any other accessibility needs in order to attend and fully participate in this event, please email info@friendsofmedicare.org, and we will do our best to accommodate you. Masks will be available on site.
